If your Wi-Fi signal degrades as you move away from your u-mee fibre router (e.g. in other rooms, possibly in a large home), you may benefit from a Wi-Fi extender (available from many electonics retailers) to create a remote Wi-Fi zone.
Depending on the model selected, these can connect to your u-mee fibre router also using Wi-Fi (subject to configuration/specifications, this could degrade overall network performance) or with an ethernet connection e.g. a dedicated ethernet cable or HomePlug/Powerline technology ... some HomePlug/Powerline devices even include a built-in Wi-Fi, but these must never be used as Wi-Fi extenders if connected to a TV set-top box.
Alternatively, you might have specific reasons to use your own Wi-Fi router/access point in combination with u-mee fibre e.g. you would like to use the 5Ghz radio band, 'ac' devices, an Apple Time Capsule or maybe you just prefer your networking hub in a different location within your home. Usually additional router/access points can be configured to run on existing broadband services without the need to change any configurations on your u-mee router. Please follow the manufactures instructions carefully. If you're required to change your u-mee fibre router to enable 'bridge mode' you will need to open a support case on u-mee.com/contact
NOTE: The ‘bridge mode' feature is only available with u-mee Plus. If ‘bridge mode' is enabled, you will be limited to 5 simultaneous devices when using the TV app.
